This.
You can play any way you want in the game BUT when it comes to playing with a team you have to adjust your play style so everyone can work together in clearing that content the best way possible, if they don't want to work with others they should play something else that's not an MMO.
In my opinion that's just being selfish.
Yes, you are free to play in any way you want in a party even when friendly advice is given and no one is forcing you to do otherwise but when you are making things difficult for others in your team why not change things a little bit? I mean, you can still play the way you want while trying to be helpful to your team and not making something "easy" more difficult than it is."Unless we each conform, unless we obey orders, unless we follow our leaders blindly, there is no possible way we can remain free" -- Frank Burns, M*A*S*H
I think the problem is that there is ONLY one way to play, and ONLY one build of success. Couple this with this lack of consequence from DF and the lack of social community, and you have people chafing under the lack of choice.
I also agree that the main problem is that there's not much to choose from in terms of builds for any class.

That's a bit of an extreme view, don't you think? I screw up on my BLM rotation all the time and I haven't researched how to optimize it (don't play it much) but it's never been a point of contention. Nobody has ever seemed to care. Decent is plenty fine."Unless we each conform, unless we obey orders, unless we follow our leaders blindly, there is no possible way we can remain free" -- Frank Burns, M*A*S*H

What RedAntares was saying was that it's a team game, and you should go in expecting to work together and not let them down. That's nowhere near conforming blindly. It is giving up your individuality, however, as that's what a team should be. You're fighting for and with three others.

^ Since this mythical multiplayer game where you can be retarded and still do as good as people who try to play there class doesn't exist
