But when I was in the Coil, I was told by the MT to use Silence. I don't have Silence in any of my stuff. Is that something I have to do similar to when I got Swiftcast for my WHM as a THM? Thanks for the input.

Ah, OK, I was using that. Thanks. I couldn't find anything for an action or trait for Silence as he was calling for other folks to perform actions exactly as they would have been called.
The first step to play well a class is to read and comprehend all the skills, my friend![]()
You should also know that silence's CD is long enough that it's common practice in many fights to "rotate" silences. What this means is that you will use yours, then the PLD will use theirs, then you, etc.
To this end, it is helpful to make a macro that notifies your party when you use it, specifically with a sound effect. Just don't go overboard on it or it might get annoying.
The one I use on PLD is:
/micon "Spirits Within"
/ac "Spirits Within" <t>
/wait .1
/party "Silence used! <se.12>"
Feel free to adjust it for your needs. The wait is important, because you only need to hit it once for both the ability to go off and the message to immediately be sent after.
wait commands in macros only work by whole seconds, so its not actualy doing anything, secondly, it doesnt matter if it has a wait command or not, chat commands from macro will always be executed, skills on the other hand are a different matter. You should also know that silence's CD is long enough that it's common practice in many fights to "rotate" silences. Not true, my macro like that uses a .5 and works just fine. It might be a minimum .5 though, idk. As for your second part, also not true, spamming that macro as many times as I want it only does the party line 1 time, half a second after I finish spamming.
