Really?
My interest in utilizing DF as it was designed, and suggesting you solve your problems with the PF solution, is a sense of entitlement?
Really?
If anything a player demanding that the rest of the party caters to them without compromise is 'entitlement'.
The storyline cut scenes are there for a reason, to be viewed. That being said, yes SE should have adjusted the timing of final story to just a before and after dungeon run, instead of the 20 mini CS throughout. But that's not the new person's fault. It's the age old question:
Who is more deserving, the many or the few?
And the other age old question:
Is there a point to arguing on the internet?
OP, do what you like. But moving forward, communicate, there are other people playing the game too.
Again; this is why so many people don't do the Prae/CM/Westwind Roulette at all.
Divas.
I don't get it. It's not like back at launch and CM and Prae were the best way to farm philo and you were doing those instances 100 times a day. You do story roulette, at most, once a day so who the hell cares if it takes 5-10mins longer to let someone who is new experience the dungeon the way it was designed. If you're really that pressed for time then you probably shouldn't be using the story roulette to farm myth. It's so inefficient.......
As said before (kudos to who said it first!), make a story duty skipping cutscenes and view them in the inn later, is like read a book skipping some pages and read them later. Nonsense.
Get mad at it as you want, but asking others to skip cs is just exactly as ask others to adapt your playstyle. Sorry bro, but your rights cannot crush the rights of others. If you stop waiting other's cs, you only lose some time, and if you don't have time, don't even queue in DF. If you doing duty for fast tomes farming, queue in DF is the most idiotic thing to do. The conclusion of this logic, is that people asking to skip cs to others, are simply idiots.
Castrum is almost 15 minutes. Praetorium is almost 30 minutes.I don't get it.
Think what you want. But as long as Square wants to get the boring dungeons full and don't keep new players waiting to long, they will always be required to skip the cutscenes or miss the fights. It is as simple as that.
Edit:
And yes. The majority rules in an mmorpg.

That analogy is what's nonsense, because reading a book isn't a group effort. A more accurate analogy would be having to wait for the slow kid in class to finish reading before the teacher can continue the lesson. You wouldn't hold the entire class back because one person is struggling, so don't hold the entire group back because you don't want to watch cutscenes on your own time.
