    They aren't likely to do anything with an impending cap increase. XI got merits because the Devs weren't planning to increase cap for a long time, if ever.

    Maybe they could at least let the exp accrue on your character (similar to Soul Memory in Dark Souls 2) so that when they do raise cap all that exp goes towards the new levels of the job it was obtained on?
