Ask a WHM near you to toss you a Protect? Sometimes i get the feeling that people think this is a Solo RPG. Asking someone for a Protect and/or Stoneskin won't hurt you, most people do not bite.

Or what i usually do, i do the map right after Ex Duty, while i still have like 10 Minutes on my Protect left.

Why not just use the cross class skill when you need it? It's not like you can't change them out whenever you want.

It's just bothersome to find someone to party up just to get protect. Also I don't see why asking for something like a scroll for self Protect is a big deal, There is a lot of solo content in this game. I play at odd hours during the day and most of the time not even in town, I just think it would be helpful to have. SE adds some pretty useless stuff like Minion/Mount Roulette.....

I have all Jobs level 50.... To bad Buffs don't carry over when you switch jobs. EDIT- Like how you edited that out about having a level 8 CNJ. As for you new comment Not every jobs can use Protect.

So...recast? You're going to have to cast with a scroll anyway. I mean hell, buffs and stances drop when you sync down as well and I would rather they fixed that rather than trying to fix an issue which isn't actually an issue.

And if you're not a job that has access to protect? Like, most of them?

I never said it was an issue. I can manage just fine I just don't like having to bother other players to invite me for a protect. I don't think it is a big request to have Protect Scrolls sold at the GC vendor, FFXI have protect/shell/reraise scrolls.

I prefer being able to use the Protect ability on any class/job, since I have leveled a conjurer.

Dude, outside of Trials, Raids, Dungeons and hests ..... this game more or less is a Solo RPG. You are forced to do so many things alone, and if it isn't because SE instanced a quest (still a derp move if you ask me) but because it is something other people don't want to right now.

A scroll of protection would be cool, or a scroll of instant reraise, or reraise earrings and rings.
