RP Communities

I know there have been a lot of threads on this, Googling has been done, and no answers have been given, but where are the RP communitites??

I really love playing MMO's for RP communities and I love this game but unfortunately SE did not implement a server type into the game so you cannot become involved in such activities. A lot of recycled re-posted garbage is on the internet concerning the topic and it is hard to find an actual current answer from the community. What are the thoughts??

A quick disclaimer: It is impossible to create or transfer a character to Balmung which is said to be the biggest RP server in the game, and it is legacy. Also, Gilgamesh is NOT an RP server. There is one FC who only participates in RP once a week, otherwise it is unheard of.

Awesome.. Haha. As someone who plays there, is the RP alive there or dead? I know a lot of people SAY Gilgamesh is RP but it is definitely not, I want to make sure Balmung was not the same case before I uproot my life.

Balmung RP is very much alive. Step into the Quicksand at almost any time of day and you'll see it absolutely everywhere, and you're more than likely to stumble across it out all over the world as well. There are MANY dedicated RP FCs, plenty of RP optional, and RP linkshells as well; it's an extremely active community and, for the most part, open to jumping in. I prefer private RP myself, just 'cause it's easier to work out larger-scale plots with a smaller group of friends, but I know plenty of people that love a good walk-up!

I think the RPC is the biggest RP community, their site including roleplayers from Balmung, Gilgamesh, and other minor RP servers. You will likely find all the communities you want here.
