The feature I'd like to see in this is - Shared FC chest (page / slots)!http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...=1#post1463063
I've poked around multiple places and this is the last place this system was mentioned. I know quite a few people who were looking forward to this system and it's seemed to completely fall off the map. Is this currently still planned? Has it been scrapped? Finally, in patch 2.2, as we mentioned in a separate post last week, we are planning to implement a free company alliance system, which will let you join your free companies together to see both member lists, share a chat channel, and have other useful features.
I can't wait!
What about the Primal-Pokemon feature?
Are the devs working on it already?GE: Ummm… what can you tell us about the new summon system?
Yoshida: [Laughs] As you know there are primals – powerful demigods- in FFXIV. Summons are a staple to any Final Fantasy game, but to me, in recent games the summons have been cheapened because they are so easy to access. The current Ifrit and Garuda battles are hard, but I don’t want a world where everyone has summoned, and is walking around with, their own personal Ifrit. It cheapens how hard it was to get access to that primal. In 2.0 there will only be one of each primal per world. So one Ifrit, maybe one Shiva maybe one Ramuh, per world. These primals will be somewhere in the open world, roaming, and players will need to find them and then get together to defeat the primals. If they win and are the first to defeat it, the primal will come under their (temporary) control. For a 2-week period, the free company or linkshell who defeated the primal will have time to raise up the primals’ “gauge”. If they get it sufficiently raised, they will get to choose when and where to summon the primal for help. It could be used in any battle, and once they use it, the weather in the whole world will change so everyone in the world will know that the group used the primal. Once they summon the primal, it will of course return to the open world.
GE: Will there be a way to know the status of each primal?
Yoshida: No. Currently, we don’t want to show that. We want players to talk among themselves about the primals and their status.
GE: How does the primal gauge get raised?
Yoshida: Other than “raising its gauge” we can’t say any more right now. But what we can tell you is that it will be very community related. The capturing group is going to have to do certain things to raise the gauge.
GE: We take that that if you don’t raise the gauge within that two weeks the primal is released?
Yoshida: Exactly. Also, its not necessarily two weeks. That’s what we have now, but it could change. It will be a set period of time.

The alliance thing was mentioned in a live letter to be pushed back to i want to say 2.3x or later. The OP isn't the most recent announced info for that. I want it too!
I think that's gonna be released after the main story ends. Since it's building up to Zodiak's return maybe he'll affect the aether flow in the world to where the primals will be able to roam free without being summoned. Similar to how HNM and besieged worked in ffxi.
Maybe like a three day period a random primal spawns in a random area there is a server-wide message saying <primal name> has awakened. And you would have to amass a very large group just to take the primal down.
But that's just my opinion.
Eh dunno, GW2 lets you join a max of 5 guilds simultaneously, though you can only "stand" with one of them and can only see the chat of the guild you're representing, but I still found it pretty useful to be part of different communities, yet there was no content that required having more than one guild.
A multi-FC system here would be a bit less useful due to linkshells, but I'd still welcome it.
"So it looks like they're actually doing something."To me it looks like they have a lot of stuff that has been planned or scheduled that they never did, and some of it I am sure they are done. I think they are just holding similar content to release in the same patch, so each big patch we will get the standard dungeon/raid/primal content, then each one will be like a PvP patch, FC patch, chocobo patch, a few different features for whatever one they are doing, so it looks like they are actually doing something.
I'm going to assume you're being sarcastic here.
Not really being sarcastic, they have different teams working on different things, and to me it just seems like each patch there would be a little something from each if they were putting it out as soon as it was ready, but I think there is a bit of content they hold back and release with similar stuff so that it has a bigger impact, and looks like they are doing more.
