Any Novus wielders out there?

The weapon power and primary stat alone makes it a big upgrade over animus.

The secondaries make up less than 5% of your weapon's overall strength.

From leveling I only ended up with probably 50% of the lvl 2 materia. I don't have any level 3 materia and only 4 pieces of level 4 materia on average.

I don't care about weapon strength if it's gonna so expensive just to finish or have an already extreme grind above the grind for Novus itself.

Did the reddit post show screen pics of the scrolls before they turned it in for the novus? I want to see the caps on the stats. I think one of them might be crit/det and if it is we can finally close the debate on whether it becomes straight 44 crit and 31 det = 75 infusions.

The Artemis Bow and Thyrus Novus' stats were shown in other screenshots and closed the debate long ago. The stat caps are the infusion caps, ie. you can have 44 Crit and 31 Det. Even more hilariously, you can have 31 Det, 33 Piety, and 11 of a third stat, but nobody's done that quite yet.

I may be going for 25 Det, 25 Piety and 25 Spell Speed for my Thyrus.
Because i don't want to spend too much time spirit bonding or grinding gil to buy Grade IV materia....

And concerning the glow, i'd rather have the Atma version, with no glow at all. I like looking at the weapon carving detail without burning my eyes.

It's unfortunate some find it too expensive. I think it's a fun grind when you take your time. You basically have time until 2.4 drops which will be atleast another 3 months.

Quite a few with this mindset. It comes of rather lazy. Maybe it reflects their real life?

I hope the next upgrade will not only change the appearance drastically, but also let crafters <--- put the glow on it. Maybe restrict it to 5 different colors. You'll have the "standard" glow with the option to change, would be supurb!
