I don't think it's technically possible. The gpu specs aren't even as good as a ps3 and neither is the cpu. Details here. http://www.theverge.com/products/compare/3513/1689/3073
While on paper it might seems nice, in fact, like Kerberon said, it's most likely impossible and even if it was, it would hinder the game even more than the ps3 does (even I, who plays on ps3, am forced to see that ps3 slows the game a lot).
But yeah, could have been nice to play with the wii u even tho I don't posses one, I'm curious about how the controls would be ^^
More fragmentation is always a good thing.
Meanwhile, in a closed-door meeting of the Arcanist, Thaumaturge and Conjury guilds at an undisclosed location, venerable archmages agreed that there is as yet no evidence of rumoured dimensions beyond the impassable Void.
They advised the general public to ignore the outlandish claims by conspirators overly fond of tinfoil sugarloaf hats, and focus instead on urgent ongoing work to restore the realm in the wake of the Calamity five years ago.
They added that further comments to the matter should be referred to the proper channels, such as this or even that, for proper deliberation by the authorities.
The button layout of the gamepad/classic controller are basically identical to the PS3 controller except that the HAT sticks are located above the D-pad/XYAB instead of below. There would be no issue with that. I don't know if you can hook up a keyboard/mouse though.
Wii U only has 32MB of VRAM but that amount is extremely deceptive as it has 2GB of RAM (whereas PS3 has 256Mb/256Mb respectively). Mario Kart 8, Super Mario Bros 3D World and everything that was shown in the E3 reel look absolutely fantastic and the former two run at a solid 60fps. As far as I know the Wii U can handle up to DX11 shader quality (but not quite) and can handle good amounts of tesselation. The biggest issue would be working with Nintendo's obviously proprietary software - it'd probably be like making the game anew.
The Wii U is referenced heavily throughout the history of Eorzea
Sorry, but what does this have to do with the game's lore?
