    maybe i want to play with random people, are you suggesting I have to start a Toggled Off LS now in order to enjoy this game? Its gonna be really lame trying to get people in that LS.. Why don't they just make one of the servers dedicated to that and let all of us move to that server so I don't 'mistakenly' play with the wrong person.

    Or simply let us work for this information. Im not saying stop posting it next the mobs names... just let us collect it via bestiary and let it gradually populate next to the mobs names. and as someone else suggested let us quest for the hate indicator instead of just forcing it on us.

    and btw, both suggestions give us more content and things to do IN GAME.

    Random groups will have criteria to play by just as your friends and linkshell mates groups will have criteria to play by - Depends on the players who start the groups.

    I am sorry you feel so strongly against the feature.

    Thankfully, it will be implemented. Without question, it is for the better of this game. There is nothing you or anyone else can do about it. After reading through all of these pages, I feel you are the minority and I also feel the points brought up against it go directly opposite to the direction the FFXIV producer/director feels the game should take.

    Either deal with it or ... learn to deal with it. No other choice.

    guess you haven't realized we are in a state of change and even if it goes in, it could just as quickly go out and we all will make our opinion heard in order to do our part in having it changed.

    I do not have an issue with the feature going out after* we have tested it properly and decided it does not bring anything good to the table. I have an issue with every person shooting down the idea before its even implemented. If it can go down so easily, why the focus of this thread has been the damned feature and not the massive hate overhaul?

    The hate overhaul? I'm not understanding what "the hate overhaul" is. I'm only making my statements based on experience, I figured i wouldn't like the levels being shown and the aggro indicator being shown and they've come and I don't so therefore I'm going on my gut instinct in saying i will not like this feature either as I'm sure the lot of us who think like me are as well. We didn't need to be told if we where stealing hate in FFXI, why do we need to be told now? I don't like all the hand holding. There has to be a good balance of mystery and hand holding.. Adding the life bar in for the mobs was a good balanced hand holding addition however all the rest of this is just getting out of hand.

    How about instead of adding a Porygon icon and sending children around the world into convulsive fits, we just allow our tanks to gauge their hate the old fashioned way? If the mob is hitting someone other than you, you are not at the top of the hate list and should consider sucking less?

    The only portion of enmity that needed to be fixed was the incalculable formula that stripped away any kind of dynamic response to enmity spikes and lacked any consistency. If that is getting fixed, it's all we need.

    If we're really getting an enmity icon though, can I request that it be in the shape of someone holding your hand? And put a duplicate icon on the minimap when you're at the top of the hate list, so you know exactly where you were when your hand was being held..

    Well, it all boils down to the implementation of the feature being unstoppable. It is already developed and included in the patch. The only choice you and other players have is to test the feature and come up with ways it can be improved upon, weather those improvements come to the way to engage in fights or what ever. If the feature does not bring anything to the table it will be removed. However, the development team feels this is necessary, even with the angry response of a part of their current playerbase, they will implement it.

    I'm not sure if you were joking or not, but, a different server for players just to leave out one single feature? One feature, I might add, that the Lead Battle Planner Akihiko Matsui indicates is necessary for battles from now on? (when ever they are implemented). You are making assumptions all the battles will play out like FFXI. I do not know myself how much new and awesome battle mechanics they can bring to the table, but I do know that without seeing them first I can not say one feature they indicate is necessary will be worthless or not.

    its actually three features, Mob level, Aggro indicator and Enmity gauge.

    I also suggested they let us collect enemy level and aggro info in a beastiary and then populate next to the mob name and quest for the enmity gauge which would be more ideal but its clear you refused to read both parts of that post. Also, both the beastiary and questing for the gauge will bring in more content.. more meaningful things to do instead of killing 12 squirrels for a dodoskin subligar.

    I left out the other two because they actually were feasible ideas. Interesting enough to be implemented. Up to the developers and community reps who read the forums if they are worth passing on.

    You can toggle the Fiend level and aggro indicator already along with the HP bar. So what is the issue with them?

    The bestiary can include all the information bestiary's usually have. Fiend level, HP, weaknesses, Loot, Aggressive or not, where to find them, etc.

    The enmity icon is still necessary, even after the bestiary implementation. Reasons? look up all the in favor responses along this thread and you will see why. What we gain with this simple feature is far more than our supposed losses.
