Standing around for 8 minutes is stupid, yet T2 enrage is mainstream.
Tanking dragon north is idiot-proof unless your healers are garbage, in which case you'd wipe regardless. Literally same reason as T2 enrage, nothing more to it than that.

Actually no, tanking it in the center is idiot-proof. Here's what NEEDS to happen:
DPS needs to NOT go all out on the dragon, especially if there are skeletons up.
Tanks need to NOT fight each other for aggro. If someone grabbed a skeleton and is leading it away to a proper, open spot, let him.
Assuming A goes to the left (west), B stays centered (south), and C to the right (east), FACE the dragon North.
Most importantly: If you have new people or if anyone is unsure of what to do or how to do it, take just a little of the MORE THAN GENEROUS amount of time you're given for CT and EXPLAIN THE FIGHT. You can't get everything from a video.
Guaranteeing that no one will be standing behind MT/in front of the boss and doubling the amount of distance skeletons have to travel is about as idiot-proof as you can get on that fight.

Guaranteeing that all the skeletons never walk in the poison may be your best idea in this fights.
Also, I doubt anyone standing behind the MT in front of the boss at this point of the game wouldn't do it intentionally to troll the 23 others. Last time I checked, you could votekick such people.
Thing is, if handled properly, you don't NEED the distance. Plenty of times, overzealous or unknowing DPS have dropped a skeleton on the very first square in any direction. What do you do? You bring down a wall of DPS on that one and drop him first. It's not like they're particularly fast anyways.
Again, the key is handling things properly, which is a simple matter of knowing what to do, and if you have those who don't know, teaching them. Really, it's that simple.
