Serious Question: Does SE sell Gil now?

What? They made it take longer to get i90 tome gear than it took to get i70? What the hell were they thinking when they brain stormed that one?

Of course it takes longer to get because the ilvl is higher, maybe i was unclear here: Before you could easily farm low/main story roulette to get tomes, get some items and do nice WP/Amdapor etc runs. Once you had some more items go CT and then coil. People who play a lot get through this fast, slow players still get it just slower. When my healer hit 50 I did not have the tomes to buy him gear and started working on it. It takes quite longer, and when you have the gear to run expert lvl dungeons (you still need a party that does not kick you because you cannot SR then...) you hope for drops to speed up buuuut: I got 36 different i70 items (I kept them for further classes) and exactly 2 of them are for healers. Not to mention all the mats and doubles, this is just to much RNG to rely on.

When you start the game now you will face some nice grind once you hit 50 just to get the content old players got "gifted" before. But hey, since there are 3* crafts now the 2* crafts got cheaper. Well, a new player won't have the money then but you know, there is this guy behind the corner in the dark alley....

Maybe I'm a total moron here, but I do think new players should have more options to gear up to i90 (and by that I do *not* mean they should get i90 for free, like Mythos at the same rate Philos had).

there is hardly a difference between running wp then as there is running bf now. i also highly doubt you are being kicked so often if you are playing said healer unless you just aren't doing well with your role

The "rich" people you claim the last patches have favored worked for that gil. I have no sympathy for those who take no part in the economy then whine when they don't have the finances to do what they want to in the game.

You can get lv 70 gears from dungeons, lv 80 gear from CT,
moreover those places provide ToM that you need for buying lv 90 gear.

Also you get more ToM, ToS from daily roulettes bonus

There's actually kind of a hurdle in that respect, when you first bring a class to 50. If you're comfortable with CT you can take off like a rocket, but the postgame dungeons can be pretty nasty when undergeared sometimes, and even if you're lucky enough to get drops don't exactly accelerate you quickly. Once you get going - having a couple good i90 pieces, having your melded relic in progress, etc. - you can start going quite quickly, and it's easy to pick up spare drops to gear up alternate classes. But the "starting postgame" bump is something a few friends of mine have reported feeling to me.

Technically speaking, Myth gear is now much easier to get than philo gear (darklight). So actually right now it's faster and easier to get i90 than it is to get i70 which is, in it's own way, severely broken.

Do you mean to SR brayflow? With gear you "cheated" up with 1 accessoire to hit i55?

Main story roulette before gave 300 Philos, 100 for low level. Thats at least 1 accessoire item/day even for the most casual player.

Is it easier for people who have already invested time and effort to make gil to obtain certain items or get to use some new functions faster? Yes. Is it ok? Yes. Otherwise gil loses it's purpose and you just wait until everything is handed to you without any effor at all.

Also, I'm already getting sick of those "it will be the 3rd patch in a row now that favors rich people" threads. This is a video game, not a real life. Everyone has absolute same starting position here. This is not a P4W game. So stop it, please.

On top of that, SE can't purposely limit content and ideas due to RMT. RMT will always be there and people who use real money to get advantages will be in better position. Deal with it.

Edit: It's very easy to make gil at this point too. If you took the time you use to complain on forums and spend it in-game making gil, your issues would have been very likely solved by now.

or alternatively, level a craft, possibly a gatherer, making you able to skip step 1 = more profit
i've easily got a few mil worth of materia on my retainer from about 20 minutes of gathering, 10 minutes of crafting, and a couple hours grinding with +1 to spirit bond gear on. oh, i forgot that this takes effort. my bad

no, in 2.0 there was no roulette, you had to run 4 story dungeon for an i70acc, couldnt run AK if you didn't have several DL gear, need more than one week of cap for a single acc, 3 for body or legs(i90).
now you can get one acc/week, body legs in2 runing WP in ilvl50 gear.
for your alts (dont spend sold. on it) you can farm coil/Ex for i90(also giv myth/sold).
