I think some people are very confused about what I am saying. Some people get it but not everyone. I gave a list of EVERY Cross class. Not just the bad ones. I KNOW Raging strikes is good. I KNOW Mantra is good for MONKS!!! That is not the point. I am talking about the CROSS CLASS VERSIONS THAT ARE IN COLOR!!!

The point is we have a whole system that is NOT being used. If it was being used correctly there would be a LOT more variety in the game.

Yep. Sadly I actually made a similar point(I think, may have gotten fed up with the forums by then and not bothered to post it) during beta. Truth is, the situation is even worse than you portray it because there's several times where Jobs get royally screwed on their CC options. It's not even merely situations where there's an "optimal" set but hell, some jobs literally have a redundant skill as one of the CC options(MRD/PLD with Skull Sunder/Savage Blade and SCH/WHM with Physick/Cure for instance).

Truth be told, this game's design leans more into a single-class per character MMO mindset than it does in regards to taking advantage of the cross-class/class change features.

Until now there have been mainly two means of progression: the first being defeating powerful enemies in end-game content to obtain high-item-level equipment, and the second being collecting Allagan tomestones to purchase gear. The Zodiac Weapons do not have the restrictions of these two methods, but are designed to take a long time to complete.
Current Tome Requirements for Zodiac Weapons:
    225+900+13500+1500= 16125
Additionally: Post limits are, flat-out, completely idiotic. 1k char limit's stupid to begin with but 20 posts a day? Seriously? What the hell SE?
