Um... i thought a load of Devs from TOR left because they were pissed about how bad the game actually was? Didn't they say Voice acting is literally the only thing good the game has going for it?

It was awhile back, something about this was floating around.

Voice acting would be nice in main story CS's and expansions, but if it prolongs more content then i don't want it.

I never said TOR was good, I just said that most games coming out, GW2, B&S, and SW:TOR among them, will have a lot of voice-acting. Currently we don't even have voice-acting for the main class quests.

And to think Japanese, French, and German players have to listen to the few voiced-cutscenes in english?

    It's pitiful.

And yet audio fidelity(including voice acting) is one of the things costing EA the most in TOR's development, and if the game isn't up to spec like certain reports would have you believe, then it was all for nothing.

Sure you can say that "well hell, at least they tried something", but so did FFXIV, and look where it is now.

Well, I don't know about you, but I don't watch movies with the sound off.

So I think it's worth it. You say that if TOR fails, then it will all be for nothing. But it's practically impossible to make a video-game interesting to normal people if it doesn't have voiced cutscenes. So implementing the quest without any voice-acting is what's really all for nothing. Why implement a story-based quest if it can't fulfill it's potential and be engaging?

I just really don't find walls of text very engaging. (In videogames, I hasten to add.)
