Cool, tough mechanics you'd like to see in future fights

I'd like to see a boss fight that requires movement. Kind of tired of every boss fight taking place in a round room. Have something like a gauntlet to traverse with the boss, using some kind of one time use node to shield the party from an ultimate, then having to move on to find another node. An off tank would have to pick up patrolling mobs for the group to deal with en route.

I'd like to see my self show up during random boss battles. At first I would give you words of encouragement and cheer you on, but eventually I'd decide that all of you are an unworthy lot and need to be taught the meaning of Action. At which point I would decimate the boss with a single flying jump kick, and challenge you to battle.

You'll never be able to defeat me, obviously, but you'll be taught a harsh lesson, and if your pretty good I'll leave presents. You should know though, my presents are swift kicks and hard punches!

They should have an updated Titan fight where periodically, half a dozen kobolds show up carrying lengths of garden hose and pick one person to start beating on. They're untargetable and can't be killed, but repeated AoE will knock them off the platform for a while.

Or maybe the one targeted need to lure them into landslides!

DPSing a moving target as melee is the worst thing ever in this game. Do not wish that upon anyone.

But then later in the day, the friend of yours that you mentioned was in my guild logged in for the first time in months! ...only to say that he was really upset with us, and then he left before I could say anything, but I'm not really sure why. I was...I was really confused.)

I don't think he was upset with you. Lots of personal stuff going on and my gf was just pestering him to get on lol but he's gonna transfer. Adamantoise is great but yeah my gf just wanted a new start on a new server so I obliged, but I'll visit Siren every now and then

Yeah, I was in an instance when it happened. He said that he was upset with us and good luck with coils, and by the time I told him I wasn't sure I understood what he meant, he was already gone. D:!!!

Didn't necessarily state you'd have to dps the boss while it's moving. Think something along the lines of the Ahriman boss in darkhold, only a larger scale. I've got a monk too, I know how frustrating it is to chase down a mob being kited in circles by a relentless bard.
