You're basically creating a system and set of skills just to justify why a NIN should be a tank. Anyone could do the same for any other class.

It (and here comes "logic" in a fantasy game) makes no sense that a class, built around a real world people or centuries of real world documentation, that focuses on stealth, sneaking, silence and shadows to be the focal point of the enemies attention. They'd be doing it wrong.
