1.) Where did they say that? Honest question, at work so I can't watch the LL.
2.) Turns out, Thieves don't give a red qiqirn's behind if you "allow" them. That is kind of the point. If thievery was legal they wouldn't be called thieves, they'd be called Bankers. You couldn't see the woods outside Gridania being a Thief hotspot (Highwaymen) or Ul'dah, with all of it's commerce? Hell, Limsa is a city of pirates, which are sea-thieves.

Chill Guys.. do you really think they blow out all the Informations out on the first day? There are a couple more live-events and they will save some nifty stuff for the last one as well.
Im pretty excited... Ninja class will use Mudras..... Mudras is a symbolic or ritual gesture in Hinduism and Buddhism. While some mudrās involve the entire body, most are performed with the hands and fingers..
They still have a job slot that will be dual dagger wielding. Only realistic options are dancer and thief, but I think dancer is a pretty big stretch since they have nothing in common with rogues. My guess is they are saving thief to be a hybrid class. After all in XI they had a ton of utility with hate control.
Yes they will talk about the new tank jobs tomorrow ^_-.

Just after the video shown. They specifically said a Thieves guild wouldn't fit in the world and went with Rogue's Guild. "Who would allow a guild for thieves in town?" They didn't say a Thief job wouldn't come in the future. Similar to how Thaumaturge Guild is okay because Black Magic/Black Mage is super forbidden in the game lore.

I find it funny that killing is legal but stealing isn't. Oh wait, my character steals often in the game during quests taken from citizen npcs with no authority. Plot hole? :P
