
If people are dying at their computers over long-term grind designs... I'd have to call into question their intellect, or just flat-out call shenanigans lol it's not that serious. As uberhaxed pointed out, you have to think about the game's economy. Because these tomes are basically a major grind fest (i.e. unlimited in the number of times they can be farmed), your prices are going to be high.
Supply and demand my friend; though, I do agree that speed-running becoming mainstream has a large part to do with it. Devs are now facing a monster where they have to make content last long enough to tide over until further patches are released. People can arm-chair philosophy all they want, but this is Yoshi's world lol we just play in it.
