someone will always use some type of threat meter in every MMO you group in, whether you think that person is or isnt, someone always is. UI mods are very prevalent in MMOs.
the goth kid decided to associate with a few people who arent drenched in black it seems (FF series modernization)

one thing that made a ton of sense to me and i personally liked was that in FFXI only certain jobs could do things like detect surrounding mobs, mobs on the entire map. etc.
i like the idea of only certain jobs have a threat meter, it adds to class immersion.

I'm pretty sound in what I stated. You don't know me so don't act like you know me. I read everything just because I don't post often doesn't mean I don't read before I reply. If you are oblivious to the fact that people will cry and complain about anything and everything just because they can... well that's your problem not mine. All I did was state that it's not a game breaker and for those crying about it to get over it because it's going to happen.

Well originally I thought they were going to make the emnity display like a gauge. I imagined a bar where it was like 0-100% of the mob's total hate or something...blinking icon though? Doesn't sound great but I'll wait to see how it looks. I am disappoint though ._.;

That's what I thought too but it make sense when they said something about "your hate wont disperse except you die or the battle is finish". It's not like FFXI that you can wait and do nothing so your hate fade away. In FFXIV, mobs hate will not fade away unless a party member, PC/NPC build more hate than you.

No, it says it turns into a game for people i don't what to play with. There is no indication of any sort of connection to said crowd being inferior to me or i being inferior to them, that is your interpretation.

Liking a different style of play is different from saying the game is turning into a game for a group of people you don't want to play with -- which basically means you're looking down on them/turning your nose up to them, so not an extreme route, just a straight arrow interpretation of what was said and what the other person interpreted it as.

It could have read something like:

"The game is beginning to cater to a style of play I'm not fond of."

Which wouldn't necessarily target a group of people but more a design choice.

Considering the context of his statement, it's pretty obvious he's implying that his preferred way of playing the game requires more intelligence/requires more tactics/is more difficult than those whose views are in favor of the enmity system. All of which support the case of him thinking he's in some way, shape, or form, superior to them.

If you still believe otherwise, I'm wide open to suggestions as to what kind of players he implies us to be, that he be so adamant about not wanting to play with us. Because he thinks we just want ezmode pew pew? Lol.
