Liking a different style of play is different from saying the game is turning into a game for a group of people you don't want to play with -- which basically means you're looking down on them/turning your nose up to them, so not an extreme route, just a straight arrow interpretation of what was said and what the other person interpreted it as.

It could have read something like:

"The game is beginning to cater to a style of play I'm not fond of."

Which wouldn't necessarily target a group of people but more a design choice.

Considering the context of his statement, it's pretty obvious he's implying that his preferred way of playing the game requires more intelligence/requires more tactics/is more difficult than those whose views are in favor of the enmity system. All of which support the case of him thinking he's in some way, shape, or form, superior to them.

If you still believe otherwise, I'm wide open to suggestions as to what kind of players he implies us to be, that he be so adamant about not wanting to play with us. Because he thinks we just want ezmode pew pew? Lol.

You taking it personal because you like the icons and immediately jump to the conclusion that i think you are inferior. If you must take this on a personal level, sure be my guest. I don't care about you at all or if you are inferior. I don't even know you.

I care about the community going down the #$%@ because of changes like this.

I just wanna throw out that so far, the only time i've seen enmity be a problem is if a dps throws out a high amount of burst damage, or if a healer decides to buff or debuff too much in the middle of a fight.

I'd appreciate any change that improves the way debuffing and buffing works with regards to enmity, the bar is just a bonus, if you don't wanna look at it, don't, some people appreciate the assistance though. A little bit of certainty can go a long way to helping improve the teamwork of a group if they can communicate enmity levels.
