They were supposed to be optional tutorial fights which is why they probably feel they don't need to add any more. I disagree, however, since they're not very good at teaching at the early levels how to use their mechanics because they're perhaps a bit too easy and they're also a little biased against new player Marauders at first.

The first two prevent new Marauders from using their AoE enmity ability because you're synced one level too low. No it's not required but it'd be nice to let them learn about it, especially since SE made the first hest a swarm of mobs and the second about learning how to pick up adds, and Gladiator *will* have Flash at that point since the hest is level 10 and Flash is level 8. New player Marauders cannot get Flash unless they wait till at or after 15 story quests and unlocking and leveling Paladin to do the level 10 hest...not exactly hard, but not exactly fair either, and what brand new player would be expected to know about that?

That aside, some more difficult hests would be nice. At all levels. Make two the tutorials, and then one to two where you have to use what you learned in a more difficult battle. Reward it with a random class specific aetherial item for all participants or something. Doesn't have to be huge. And maybe put some ones that are boss fights similar to what the Hydra/Chimera trials are that'll use some weaker, non-fatal version (unless you keep messing it up) of techniques that say Primals use (Titan.).
