    Are you being serious?
Would you mind to remind me then why do they warn us for the peisteskin maps, or any other kind of hard/group content (during quest's text, for instance)? It's bad design as it changes from the way that it has been done until now, no matter how hard you try to defend it, nor how hard you try to troll/look smart/tergiverse what I said.

Nowhere did I twist your words. If you find what I said laughable or insulting, then you find your own complains to be on the same level. It's exactly what you asked: a warning that you could die at something in a game like FFXIV.

As for the other warnings, I can only assume they were added because at some point someone in development figured they'd please people like you with redundant warnings.

"Warning: This map is a DISCIPLE OF WAR map, be sure you are ready because you might die, no complaining now!! :P"

Disciple of War/Magic implies the ability to die.

"Warning: You are now exiting a neutral area, do you wish to proceed? You may die. Yes/No"

May as well make it stop you outside of every town barrier.

I just soloed this map that has brought so much anger among people xD. It consists of a golem and 2 spawn sets of 5 bombs. Guys, it is VERY easy! All you have to do is realize when the bombs spawn, and go full damage on them, they go down VERY FAST, and they don't move until 10-15 seconds. If you ignore them, as I just said after 10-15 seconds they basically start running towards you and blow themselves up. Each one roughly does 1.5k-2k damage so it's easy to be instagibbed. Basically, you need to give them the same treatment you would give to Ifrit's Nails or Titan's heart.

Helped someone with the Mythril golem today, the bombs take 2 maybe 3 Wide Volleys and don't seem to move at all for a time. You get more then enough time to kill them, you just need to make sure your keeping an eye out for them. They actually seem to be the main event in the fight and the golem is just there to try and distract you from killing them.

Did another map that had 3 2 legged lizards spawn(can't think of their names), decent amount of health and i think they insta cast petra. Neither me no the person i was with saw the last one cast it but him and our 2 chocobos were petra for a good 20 sec.

Successfully did my first two Mysterious maps earlier; both as a PLD (i98 vit accessories) in Shield Oath with my Chocobo (level 7 Healer).

Map 1: Mythril Golem with (Bombasts)* - 5 (Bombasts) spawned when the Golem lost 25%/50%/75% hp. About 30 seconds after they spawned they charged and AoEd me. I managed to kill 1 or 2 each spawn before the charged, but still received a nasty damage chunk.

Map 2: (Morbol Menace)* - Roughly every 30s the Morbol would apply an instant Bind (40s) and then long cast Bad Breath. Got hit by the first Bad Breath when I didn't realize I was bound so failed to Stun.

*Exact names forgotten, but I believe these are the names after checking the databases.

It's not about redundant warnings, but about having them in all the previous content (including that from where it has been copy&pasted) and then, all of a sudden, you don't have them. Everyone is going to assume that it's designed as always and that they have nothing to fear, until they die and lose it. When you design something one way and then you change it, people won't know that it changed unless you tell them. That's exactly why this thread exists, and that's why I've had to warn my FC mates about this (not before some of them died and lost their maps, tho), and we've been helping each other just in case.

This has nothing to do with being handholded or anything like that, but about being deluded by a system that has been copied from an existing one, and that doesn't follow the previous design both for maps and for hard/group content. If this wasn't true you wouldn't have a lot of poeple of certain jobs being surprised and dying when they first encounter some these bosses. Once again, like it or not, but it has been implemented in a less than optimal way, and there you have the proof.

It wouldn't matter if the only "issue" would be dying. But, when they die for the first time, they usually haven't set their home on the nearest aetherite, nor bring some friend to help, nor know the strat beforehand (keep in mind that the bombs, for example, don't appear on the monster list), so they lose their maps without being able to try again. If it was just a surprising death, and not a loss of 800 myth or a daily, no one would be here saying this. If you can't see that, I don't know what else I can say.

Also, tell me, how would it hurt you if during the quest or on the map itself it said that there were hard fights ahead (as usual), and/or if it included the recommended ilvl along with the recommended level as it does now?

And to repeat it, no, I have not died on any of the maps. But even I can see that it's not very well done, and that it's not fair for those that have died and lost their maps, I'm not that blind.

So has anyone been encountering a horde of bombast bombs in mystery maps where you find alexandrite pieces in mordhona. Lately, all of the treasure maps that I've gotten today have been in mordhona in which a horde of bombast bombs spawn and when I say horde I mean one spawns and then when I attack that one 4 more spawn but I can't see them on my target window. Plus they explode instantly without warning. Luckily my titan egi ate the explosions only taking 270 dmg per explosion. But has anyone else had this happen or is it just me. I've been seeing these horde of bombs claim a lot of peoples lives today in mordhona and northern thanalan all today.

Edit: is anyone getting the bombs repeatedly with lately?

My first map which I acquired last night was the one with the golem/bomb combo. I did a little reading earlier in the evening but it's a completely different story when you're actually attempting the fight. From what I noticed, when they do spawn they are stationary, at least initially. You only need to be ready for them is all, and they don't take long to spawn after the fight begins. After about 30 seconds or so they start to fly at you at near-sonic speed. Long story short I died...painfully. lol You can apparently dps them down with relative ease, but I don't know how often they spawn. My 2nd map I got today was 4 demons with a hefty health pool. All they did was cast a frontal attack repeatedly, but they all did so at around the same time. Best way to handle that is to be constantly on the move and literally doing laps around their formation, while killing them one at a time. My summary of the 2nd map has no relation to your post, but wanted to add a little more information to the subject as a whole.
