I would like to personally thank the dev who thought it would be a good idea to put instant kill mechanics into the Mystery Maps, with no chance of retrying should you fail.

Should have rolled a I-Can-Solo-Just-About-Anything Job (aka. Smn). Jk. I can definitely see how these fights could be difficult for some jobs, the mobs have a pretty decent hp pool and can do a good bit of dmg.
Always use your chocobo. If neither you or your bird are healers well.. better stack up on something that can decently heal you or avoid that explosive attack.
I don't know what variety the monsters are, so far both times I've done my maps I had to fight Bombasts, which are basically just bombs. They do get larger as you deal damage to them and eventually explode at a certain point and rinse and repeat.
As a Smn, these are cake. My titan loses maybe a quarter of his hp at most before it's dead.
Was soloing the rock golem just fine until a grp of bombs spawned behind me and then charged and one shot me for more then 5k dmg.

It is a mechanic. Those bombs just stand there and do nothing for awhile making you believe they are not a threat. You have to go over there and kill them all before the all charge you and sell destruct.

I personally like them. I'm glad we're getting more content that forces us to party in the open world. I'm sure you CAN do it solo, but I'd rather not take that chance.

Stupid world being dangerous...
Might i add only 1 of the bombs exploded for more then 5k dmg, the others remained and would have chased down anyone that remained.
