It doesn't matter if it's an option or not, it'll become a de-facto requirement for everyone, just like anima travel has.

So I don't understand.. if it was optional, how would it be required? Also last time i checked, i'm pretty sure you could run everywhere and not have to use any anima. Teleporting is a choice not a requirement. But of course most would rather use anima.

Do you even realize what the term, DE-FACTO, means? It is a Latin expression for, "by the fact." In other words, "in practice, not necessarily by the law/rule/book."

If a group wants to head from Ul'dah to Limsa, everyone is going to have to accept teleport instead of running to the port and taking the boat instead.
