If you die during Alexandrite Map, you lose your chance at Alexandrite for the day.

Confirmed you can be in a party while doing the map and they can help you.

Right, but you are still gated by what materia costs are going to be, if there is even going to be any materia available to you when you are ready to buy it.

Has anyone been able to determine if you still fail if your home point is in the same zone as the map?

When doing regular maps and you die you will be able to retry if your current home point is in the same zone as the map. Was the user in this instance home pointing to another zone? If so, yes, you would fail. Just as you would with existing maps.

i also died on my first map, it was a big morbol that binds you and then makes his 20 thousand debuff aoe.
you can do the maps in a grp, only you get the alex, was doing it with some freecompany guys

dont make the maps alone, its to risky if you get a wrong mob and tanks have problems with the time limit

Where can i get these Alexandrite Map from? Do i MUST get those stupid ink before the quest open up?

I soloed mine, 4 drakes poped and i just AoE them down with no problems, but they are harder than normal solo maps.

Done 2 maps so far both were easily soloable on a paladin.

Just got kill in one. The first boss from halatali hm spawned and 10 adds spawn kill them then 10 more spawns. Well got killed before I can heal myself up much. Good bye 800 myths, so yeah seems safer to do them in parties, but with the amount of maps that needs to be done it seems hard to always get people to help u right away.
