The thing is, BRD's MP pool is better used on Requiem for that fight. You need all the damage you can get. BRD's will use Paeon for a bit, but only really to tide you over until Invigorate is back up, the song also reduces their own damage by 20%.I don't have experienced T8, but i know the fight and can see how there is an TP Issue. But also, wouldn't that make BRD Songs more useful so BRD's actually start using their songs? For now there are times where the answer would be "Why would i cast a song? It is not needed".

Sounds fine to me, since with higher SS the other DPS will pull out more DMG after all. So it could even out and while BRD does less dmg, the other DD's will do more. Have to actually test it out, to see if the proper SS amount will encounter the lost BRD damage.

Bards and tanks need tp also so the song isn't only for the melee. Even 10 seconds of the tp song is enough to counter the natural tp drain of combos by at least a minute. Add in the fact that the most tp expensive job is monk and that they also do significantly more damage than bards... hell any class for that matter, wouldn't you rather have them doing full damage for as long as possible?
Requiem is nice if you have a summoner I suppose, but blackmage isn't exactly competing in turn 8 damage at the moment.
