Seeing all your answers let me wonder if SE will ever consider a gil wipe (leaving only a certain amount) to everyone over the cap with the launch on the PS3 or even with the crafting reform. I mean how will a low level even stand a chance to buy anything if everyone has over 10mil gils and stuff sells for so much. Unless they leave how you get gils the way it is right now (read extremely and riddiculously easy).
I'm sitting on around 179-180 mill. Nice cushion for my ash.

Because we should punish those who spent all the time and effort to amass a ton of gills? i personally wont be satisfied until i can add a diving board to my money bin.
Well honestly you cannot apply "effort" to the way you earn gil in FFXIV, I played for about a month and a half before I stopped and I have over 2mil. So yeah, gils doesn't require any type of effort to get. But yeah gil wipe might be drastic, I concur. The only thing tho is that the way you get gils will need to stay this easy so that newcomers are not stuck with the super inflated market.
I have about 180mill, and most of my LS is in the 50-80mill range, not sure if its just us that are pretty well off..

Maybe i should say TIME then, because it takes a ton of time to turn raw materials into HQ parts to try to get a HQ weapon, escpecially when all HQ parts can still leave you stuck with a NQ or +1 product. And the amount of gill that have did take a ton of time, lets just say ive well over trumped any figure so far stated
