    FFXIVpro LS Rankings

Does anyone else pay any attention to the LS rankings on FFXIVpro.com?

I know the rankings are a bit skewed because it's not a true average of all the players in a given LS, but that's neither here nor there. Maybe I'm just bored, but I find myself getting excited every time my LS moves up on the server rankings.

With the current state of the game LS rank means absolutely nothing. But its nice to feel proud.

It'd be better if they took an average of every player in each LS or at least took achievements into account, but at the moment, it's the only real gauge we've got.

It's kinda fun to look there and see your name. But other then that, I don't put much faith in any of it lol. I am not even totally sure how they measure these things. Achievements? Total ranks across all classes? It's a bit confusing to me as well. For example, there are people ranked higher then me, but have a lower "score/points" then me and lower classes.

But ya, even then, there is no way they would be able to rank people. The one true way they would be able to rank people would be by skill, but there is no way to measure that.

I sent an email a while back to ffxivpro staff to find out. They take the top 18 players in the linkshell and add up their points

The "SP total" e-peen measuring contest doesn't mean much when it's dominated by botters and power levelers. In WoW they measure guilds by how fast they get through new content, but that's not really applicable to FF14 at the moment. I suppose you could go in and check people's 5 main NM achievement dates, but most of the first wave of pre-nerf NM hunters have quit and they weren't very hard to begin with anyway.

I'm not sure how accurate those dates on the NM achievements are. For me at least, it took months for Bloatbelly or Great Buffalo to show up. Even then, you still wouldn't be able to judge any ones skill level just be seeing what dates they did things on

What is your rank on that site Raikki? Looks like you have a lot of 50 jobs. =D

17th on server right now. When I played hardcore (up to early March or so I think?) I was #2 behind Aina (and like 20-something globally), but it was impossible to stay motivated with all the bots popping up. I could've done a lot better if I hopped between classes to avoid fatigue (I kept grinding the same class even at -50%).
