The OP wasn't looking for constructive discussion, he created this thread with the sole intention of it being a flamebait.
I still continue to want to see more replies to OP, but doubt that will happen at this point. It is an honest question and I still agree that cash shops can be done in a way that does not negatively impact the community on a notable scale; has it been done so before? Yes, but not by many.
Would you prefer actual collage level course learning in video game design and market. You know I am trying to to boast that around, but if you want to put my credability into judgement, toll, you might want to go else where. I have had talks with my proffessors who recently worked at EA and Bethesda Games. So STFU
Ahaha, I didn't realize who OP was when I started posting, that's what I get for looking at the forums when I wake up.
It still would have been nice to hear more constructive thought on the matter.
Yes, I know, understand and have posted such. What I don't quite understand is all who oppose the thought and immediately attack others with nonsense, as if they know the details and outcome. I've questioned them again and again to be met with the same replies; either I'm insane for continually missing some key well known information or...As others have stated, it's possible but highly unlikely and once a game starts down the road it rarely decides to turn around. There's only one Hilmar Veigar Pétursson, and he already works for CCP.

Because we've seen what happens when games do this. Either games put them in as a last ditch effort to stay afloat after going f2p and never manage to come back to what they were (SWToR Terra ect.), or they launch with one and relegate the majority of their in game additions to the cash shop and lock content behind RNG lottery boxes (GW2).What I don't quite understand is all who oppose the thought and immediately attack others with nonsense, as if they know the details and outcome. In short, people think it will ruin the game or betray it's spirit. You can't really expect to suggest such a change and not have people get upset by the idea.
I've watched worse vitriol come out of the GW2 forums over people just suggesting mounts in a game without any because it will "make it like WoW"
