Cash shops: Whats wrong with you?

Guys SE already got way more subs than they expected to at launch and even before that yoshi was adamant about this game not going FTP, so why the hell are you morons asking for a cash shop (a ftp thing) and saying this game will fail even though you know this game was to SE a MASSIVE success.............and that is coming from the company that said the tomb raider reboot was a failure, seriously guys, stop listening to bloodclaws trolling and THINK.

EDIT:All this thread has taught me is the reason why monster hunter frontier is japan only, the west doesn't deserve it, we just take something good and screw it up, trying to learn japanese has never been so worth it

People think just because there are fantasias being sold, and two extra retainers can be paid for, that the game is going free to play. People asked SE to sell fantasias so they are, and SE used to charge for every extra character in 11 and now they are doing it for retainers instead. Nothing in this game indicates it going F2P, but good luck convincing the vocal minority to think Rose, it's a losing battle.

It's just a passive aggressive thing in my opinion. People want to say the game is doing poorly, but people would try to disprove that, so those people might go a different route than the direct one (cause then they'd have to debate it). Saying the game is going free to play at some point is saying it is going to flop. But even saying that is a obvious knock that the game is doing poorly. So it's just taking it one step further by saying "Oh hey, when the cash shop does come out, what would you want in it?"

It's twice removed, but it's still them basically saying the game is doing poorly (which while there is obviously lots of criticism, at the moment, financially it seems to be doing ok).

It's kind of like saying: "So where do you want to spend your last moments when the president causes the apocalypse?"

A cash shop doesn't equal a bigger success, but it doesn't mean it's a beginning of a downfall either. Just as well, nor does the absence of one. Some of us loathe cash shops, others enjoy them. To think that either side will just convert and drop something that, apparently has an appeal to them, is childishly naive. That's why they made a thread and that's why you did as well. Not really sure why so surprised. It rarely happens in the real world, much less in the virtual o_o

Cash shops may be common in F2P games, but they're not exclusive to them. Times are changing and all of that....
