I share the sentiment. Probably cause I'm used to being excited about Summons/Primals/list-of-FF-categorization in other Final Fantasies (except XI, ofc). And there's the whole debacle with Egis looking unimpressive. Yes, I know it's not the actual Primals but still, flashy rave effects should have died with the 90's. That was such a turn-off for me. Wish Carby model would replace all existing Egi ones. Speaking of.... I can't remember when was the last time I saw a Carbuncle, even in the starting areas. Remember the rodent plague in Limsa at launch?

Siren has also been in various states of undress over the games, much moreso than Shiva, though, again, XI's Garuda beat her to the full nudity.

It just seems lazy and limits options:

Dev 2: "Well we gotta see 80% of her tits!"

Don't get me wrong, her outfit looks pretty cool even if sheer crotch covers make me uncomfortable because...they just look uncomfortable. That crown looks super awesome, and the cape is fly. But the actual bodypiece just looks recycled from Garuda and Siren. The sex appeal seems more important than actually coming up with something new and awesome and that's why I dislike it.

I always felt the primals were lacking personality and the story behind them they don't even feel threatening, I think they should have incorporated some big catastrophies into the storyline that the primals cause (bar bahamut). Like with the leviathan storyline you (spoilers) hear that he wiped out a settlement before with a tidal wave but why didn't they include a CG cinematic or something? And when you first see him he just floats away looking so stupid...

I guess what I'm saying is they don't feel threatening. The "threat" they pose is very "this might happen!" Opposed to "Garuda has appeared and has sent a big ass tornado towards Gridania!" Or something...

They absolutely should add cutscenes of the primals devastating power. Show leviathan destroy a village. Show Titan cause an earthquake.

The leotard is actually more suggestive than if she was full-on naked (with missing/obscured bits) like she is in other games. Though, she still looks rather threatening and unapproachable rather than seductive, which is good.

Anyway, her egi form should just be a tiny little snowman with a crown
