Dude: I would like to participate with my other jobs even after having cleared the content.

Yoshida: Do you mean as a helper?
In that instance, my worry is the breaking down of the hierachy when players who are unable to clear content overly rely on those who can and begin getting powerful items. Though I also understand that this concern is purely from a management and development point of view. This is a hard question to answer and is why we've decided to nerf contents incrementally.
tl;dr: Yoshida does not want people who don't have the skill level to clear said content to obtain the corresponding loot. Thus the lockout on first release of the content.

Static groups who aren't as geared as your FC are hurting when only 1 or 2 players can't make it to the raid for whatever reason..and can't find a replacement in time before reset, meaning missed loot and longer time before geared enough to take on T9. Because of the lockout, suitable stand-in's when you need them are quite hard to find.

Having to pick up PUGs to replace static members that can't make it means you also lose the opportunity to pass tomestone/oil/sand to members of your static who need it and lose on greed rolls. Happened to us last week...sand went to someone who doesn't even have any High Allagan or the Weathered weapon to use it on.
With all due respect, what you have said applies to everyone, it doesn't mean LVN is immune to such stuff. Any team can have any players not able to attend usual raid times due to various reasons, which you either wait for the player to be back on another day within the same reset week, or if the player is going to be away for long, search for a replacement beforehand.

I would agree that finding a suitable replacement may not be an easy job. It doesn't necessary mean that a larger FC = easier replacement because most people have their own static anyway. The stand-in will have the right to roll on UAT/Sands/Oil, and thus the static should not have frequent attendance issues. If a static is having so much attendance issues that they have to pug every now and then and losing roll on UAT/Sands/Oil then it's better to review if the static is still functional (to me it's defunc).

All in all, you shouldn't be finding a stand-in often, and I don't believe it is a common problem that requires a big change to address this.

Thanks for the quotes, this is interesting. And from a players perspective I actually can get behind this too. I started running the first set of Coil with my FC, and as much as I enjoy it I can't help feeling I'm being carried a lot by the high gear level of the other players in my group. We switch off the echo but due to the over-geared players I can't help feeling I'm missing out on the true challenge / enjoyment from the dungeon.

If I could only keep up with the latest content that has lockouts I think I would really enjoy finally playing with people at the intended gear level for that content. Because I can't / don't want to commit to a static and regular playtime, but do enjoy challenging content, this is why I personally find the nerfs a pain and wish the level sync could be stronger / apply to end game content. But I do appreciate the benefit of incremental nerfs and understand this is a personal issue.

EDIT: Just read my own post over, and realized that end-game level syncing could be a good alternative to lockouts. You FC friends could come help you with a run of an earlier Coil turn, but they wouldn't get the benefit of gear obtained in later Coil turns.

Yeah... wish we had this quote for all those threads about not being able to get coil equivalent gear outside of coil.

People bitch about being able to clear content too quickly. People bitch about not being able to clear content quickly enough. Seems about right.

Really there just needs to be more endgame content. Give us some i95+ 4 man instances to clear.

While more end game content will be cool, I don't see how it'll help those outside the main FC raid group? If an FC has 12 active raiders 4 are left wanting for their turn each week. The point is to allow 4 from the first group to re-run with the extra 4.

EDIT: While the 4 extra can pick some others up in party finder, it segregates the FC members and I feel the whole setup caters only to those who are able to commit to a static for regular runs. That's not possible, or not healthy for many players. We need more flexibility - currently it feels like all or nothing. You don't get in and commit to a static, you're screwed.

    While I haven't reached 2nd coil yet, this is a concern for me, since I can't always make it to FC raids. Please don't make me use PF for Coil 2 ;_;

    Finish doing the echo buff.

Make the echo buff work like it does in other zones. Where it grows with every wipe.

    Commendations.
If I play dps I only give it out to other dps.
If I play tank I only give it out to healers.
If I play healer I only give it out to tank.

Only if they should be getting a commendation.

Imo, the better option is to stop boosting ilvls every other patch and instead introduce gear variety with interesting skill mods instead of just variations of 4 secondary stats and disperse them into multiple types of content other than tome grinding on super weak 4 man dungeons and weekly coil. Introduce more tough 4,8,24 player content gear with similar ilvls but different skill mods (umbral ice mana regeneration boost, stoneskin cast time reduction, circle of scorn changes from dot to upfront damage, etc) while some of the rest of the gear keeps the current secondary stat system. Then people with fewer options can make gearbuilds around what's available to them while people who raid can mix max with their preferred skill mods while still trying to max secondary stats.
