    How to make more players succeed in coil.

    More people would be able to get through coil if their FC were allowed to help members get pass the harder coil turns. For example make it where you can run it multiple times, but make it so you are loot locked for the week like Crystal Tower. This will allow Free Company's to be able to teach members how beat the turns and get better practice than both party finder and duty finder.

    Overall this would also allow the increase of pug groups to succeed as well. If every FC takes the time to teach new members the mechanics of the raids. I believe the best course of action to give new players the experience needed to get through these turns, especially if FC members who already completed coil for that week can run it again and be loot locked to help members who maybe struggling to complete it.

    would also increase the amount of people selling runs. Fine as is though I would prefer if 3 chests appeared but meh.

    If you want to succeed n Coil just follow these steps:

    1. Observe
    2. React
    3. Communicate.

    This was already suggested. FCs would start selling coil clears and gear. It also increases the number of coil drops per week (8 drops for each group while running it multiple times versus the current 2 drops per group).

    One i clearly stated that members who played that week would be loot locked. Two this will make an FC more of an FC, what good is a FC if they can't help other members get past the hardest content? Three I pretty sure if more people knew how to clear the last turns the amount of gil cost for carry groups would decrease since more and more people had cleared it.

    When the day comes that one person can control 8 characters, I'll quit the game. That's alot of characters to move and control at the same time and Coil is NOT that forgiving, not even the first 5 Turns presently. Anyway, the best way to make more players run Coil is to stop being jerks towards them over every little mistake. Noone plays a game to get berated, they play to have some measure of fun. If someone messes up don't jump down their throats, instead coach them on where and how they messed up and try again. And don't be a jerk about coaching them back up, either. Too many people act like the characters they are talking to are just super-AIs and not like they are people. There's a person sitting at a monitor/TV behind ever character, so we should act like we're talking to people.

    1. If you're only loot locked pretty easy to carry someone through most of coil(bar t9 for a while), so yea you could teach them.

    2. Yup you could totally help fc members but you could also boost them through and have groups of 7 ppl that can carry the whole fc through all of coil.

    3. You learn nothing if you're getting carried that you can't learn from a vid, this would not affect sell price in the least.(ex: T5 still sells for over 1 mil a clear on behemoth)

    As a side note you could gear up insanely fast for every class if this was the loot style (after clearing t9 run 7alts +1 main for t9, clear 8 times everyone's main gets 8 drops alts get repeats)

    edit: oh didn't realize you meant CT rules. Still doesn't change much though just makes it even faster to get full bis(about 8 weeks if you're doing half HA half SOL), not to mention progression would consist of getting your whole static's gear from 1 turn by grinding it then getting to the next one repeat(meaning that if you could beat t8 the first week after 3 weeks every member of your static could have every drop for their class from the first 3 turns). This would also just mean more sells cause they'd have to keep buying till they got their item out of that turn, and they'd have to do it before the drops reset for the week.

    If you are taken through by 7 other experienced people you learn nothing, unless they purposefully wipe when you do. It's called a carry.

    Anyway it's a broken record at this point, they have made it clear that coil's lockout system will never change yet people keep on playing groundhog day on the forums. Just give up and accept it for what it is.

    8 players go into coil turn, gets 2 drops plus sand/oil/tome and gets distributed. They get out, one member leaves, a new player joins.

    They clear the turn again and 2 drops plus sand/oil/tome drops again. 7 old members can't roll on it, the new player gets them all?

    How does this not sound exploitable?
