Oh, definitely get the ring and upgrade it. I was just saying I would upgrade that accessory last over the others based on the benefits to ACC and CRIT vs ACC and SS.

I see, yeap for the extra oils, definitely earrings/wrist. I did earrings after my ring cos earrings is BiS and the HA sucked (less accuracy and gives SS). The wrist comes next because the weathered version by itself can hold its own against the HA due to the whooping 17 acc it gives, helps heaps when you're going under accuracy.

Yes but that's totally wasted. Hero's Ring's +16 Crit and +8 Det > +2 Dex from the weathered version and the skill spd given is kinda unwanted.

If you still need more accuracy, use the Allagan Ring. Auroral Ring (weathered or not) is basically a higher ilvl Allagan Ring

Would it be worth to swap the Relic Animus for a Weathered Rosenbogen and swap myth pants with allagan to get back some accuracy?
I'm not sure I'll be able to unweather it straight away so I don't really know if it would be best to pass it to someone else in my group that could afford it and make good use of it or not. What do you say?

Based on stat weightage (ignoring accuracy):

Artemis Bow Animus: 443.82
Weathered Rosenbogen: 454.392

Nett Diff: +10.572

Bard's Tights: 45.116
Allagan Trousers of Aiming: 36.56

Nett Diff: -8.556


Total nett diff: +2.016


Effectively you can say with Weathered Rosenbogen + Allagan Pants you gained 2 DEX over Animus + Bard Tights combination.


EDIT: However you might want to consider the fact that this "2 DEX" worth of upgrade comes in the form of +12 skill speed (28 on Animus to 40 on Weathered Rosenbogen). Crit and Det have the same weight (one is 0.315 and the other 0.318), so the loss in 10 Crit and 17 Det from BRD's Tights to Allagan Pants is recovered from the +28 Crit from the Weathered Rosenbogen. Well, bards hate skill speed, so it can be seen as a meh upgrade.


My personal verdict is pass on the UAT, and keeping 850 soldiery at all times - until your grp is able of clearing T8 and during that week, your grp agrees to assign BOTH the UAT and Sands to you, then with your 850 stock + the week's 450 cap you can immediately get the Rosenbogen (i110). If not, Animus is just fine.

Bard boots. so i have soldiery to buy the boots. i have cleared t6 .... 5 times and havent seen the boots drop. and i have also crafted 3star Saurian Boots.

i really dont know what to do. im willing to penta meld the crafted boots if i dont get t6 drop next reset. also. not sure what to do with the extra soldiery i have might as well buy the soldiery boots since i have alot of soldiery tokens to spare

A properly pentamelded pair of boots/gloves and headgear are the best investments for BRD, as they technically have the highest total score by stat weightage, even higher than the i110 versions. They will really last you well until you get the HA versions.

and what is properly penta melded saurian boots? What materia should be on them?

I'm on T6 but i doubt we will get it down anytime soon much less see the boots drop....
