Terrible Payment System

The payment system was one of the main reasons I quit FF XIV soon after release and just recently came back.
Usually, you have like 8-12 different options of how to pay, but in FF XIV, there are just two?
Of which one is Click&Buy, which I won't use even if it was the only option and I'd be dying to play FF XIV?

Well, today I took another look at it (mainly because the C&B maintenance made me remember there will be a time I'll have to pay again), and I noticed UltimatePay does look very decent.
Maybe I got it wrong, but what I saw were all the payment options I missed at first (PayPal, Paysafecard, bank transfer, etc.); actually they have 85+ different payment options they accept.
So you buy Game Card Points with your favorite payment option and buy Crysta using the points. Sounds a bit incovient, but fine.
Maybe you'll be able to buy Crysta directly in the section "virtual currencies" later, which would be more user-friendly.

Anyway, I'm fine with it.
They even give you some extra points everytime you buy some, so it doesn't look like you have to pay an extra fee if you want to pay with your credit card (which is something I'd never do on the internet anyway), but you can also use the extra points to actually pay less.

Tell me if I got it wrong.
Because if I did, I'll start raging at SE. No matter how great a game is, if there is no payment option fit for my sense of security, I won't play it. No, shouting around my credit card information on the internet is not what I call secure. And I know there are other people out there who feel the same.

I wish a Dev or someone would comment in this... if they ARE in fact moving FFXi over to C&B then it looks like they are not going to get rid of it...

I guess I can do the UltimatePay card thing because that's the only choice I will have or I won't be able to play once its goes P2P.

To those who say UltimatePay is good, bad news for those near around S.E.A (Not sure bout australia) we didnt get UltimatePay, only have Click & Buy.

So yea.. you can see why im so pissed off at SE about their payment.

the payment stuff is unacceptable to say the least. C&B is sketchy as hell and tacks on extra fees (avoiding it like the plauge) with plenty of people complaining about it. And then there is Crysta...which you would expect to be the main way to pay...but its not eveywhere, and its built so you cant buy any exact amount, so your always having too much or too little.

Like most everything with this games start, its been an utter failure...almost like they wanted it to bomb.

It's a glaringly obvious issue that SE seems to be taking the old FFXI route on. (either totally ignoring it, or planning something and not telling us a thing about it)

THIS IS FREAKING TOO MUCH SE! Although we are indeed in free period, im dead on setting to pay for this game in the future, but i would be ABSOLUTELY SAD if they stick to this region-lock payment system.

I'm working on terminating my Click and Buy account right now - I didn't like the extra fees. Just have to wait 7 days now to finish closing the account.
Gave in and decided on Crysta even though I find it extremely annoying not being able to pay SE just what I owe them. At LEAST I can use paypal. ._. Unfortunately, my boyfriend lives in Australia, and doesn't have Crysta as an option.. So if he wants to play the game (and it isn't looking very appealing to him anymore), he'll have to pay more.

I miss POL and being able to pay SE an exact amount. Good ol' POL never gave me any trouble.

If you haven't used the account at all yet, I don't think you get charged at all.
