Atma disappointment social help thread. For those with no luck.

I agree, there should be a weapon you can obtain by mindlessly grinding under lv50 content that requires one or two skills in your skill bar to complete successfully. As some have said before, it's content for grinders and they should have their cookie too.

Given that, I would propose the following change: make the atma quest give a lv95 weapon equivalent to Leviathan's and make extreme primals, including Leviathan, be part of the animus progression line instead. In other words, swap these two progression paths.

If you are a grinder lover and can't accept this change because Animus will soon evolve into Novus and so on with new weapons, then you understand why so many complain about this.

Me too have done ATMA sessions and got 1 stone in around 6 hours, but this is the expected rate. Live with it. We talking about the third best weapon of the game, get serious about willing to get it in a day.

They could be giving an ilvl120 weapon with +10 dmg for pressing spacebar 500.000 times non interrupted and I would not bother getting it.

If the grind for one of the best and most current weapons in the game bothers you that much, just wait till about 2.4 or 2.5
You will get an Atma just for having the quest open and participating in a FATE, in one of the designated zones, with a Zenith equipped.

I'll tell you what truly bothers me: paying for a boring game. And I'm pretty sure this is a matter that worries the developers too. The last thing they want to do is bore us to the point where we forget about their game.

But by all means, keep on asking for similar content if you enjoy it.

I'm just saying if you give the Atma~Animus, one of the newest pieces added, some time. The grind for dated weapons will be softened up, and there will also be newer and better weapons available.

It's not like this is the only good weapon you can work towards anyway. There is the Tidal Weapon, a Weathered~Unweathered weapon, and a High Allagan Weapon. If working towards an Animus doesn't work for you right now, it's not like you're without options to acquire some of the best pieces in the game.

And I, as many others, have already opted out of this progression path. This is a personal vision, but I don't really care about what weapon is best or the gear I can get; I do care, however, about the content I have access to.

Opting out of Atma due to the mind shattering boring premise (much beyond anything previously found in the game) makes it so that I'm also opting out of the whole Novus content line and future content that follows, until this atma business is changed. Which as you mentioned, could be in 2.4 or even 2.5.

Had the Atma quest line been a dead end content line, I would not worry a bit. I would've just opted out, never looked back again and mourn the fact that even a minute of development time was used for it, but nothing else. But Atma is part of a content road block right now that stops us from current and future content.

To me and others, every content patch notes that includes anything related to the relic quest can now be completely skipped.

What I don't understand is exactly what content you will be cut out of for not having an Animus, and later a Novus. I mean if you're speaking strictly of the relic quest, I can see what you're talking about. As you have to complete one leg to move to the next. However, if you're speaking of the overall game content in general, there are other weapons available to obtain so you can stay up to date. In patch 2.3, the new primal Ramuh will also have a weapon.

So outside of being able to continue the relic quest at this point, I don't see where you will be locked out of participating in the game's content.

It's pretty simple really, if it's a boring game and it bothers you, don't pay for the game. lol
