As much as I love FF, I don't want remakes/ports/whatever.

This generation in particular seems to be very fond of the past. I would prefer that developers invest more time in the present and future, rather than just remaking things over and over.

SEGA has been bringing SONIC to HD for a while now, from 1 to 3, and several other of their older classics. It might just be enough to have the FF games vintage'd akin to SEGA's vintage collection and ported to home consoles. I think, as for general porting purposes, the 3DS is perfect the 3D upgrades SE has put into some of their classics, and the Tru3D would further amplify this notion of demand.

In my opinion, those games that had gone into sprite development should be ported/remade to handheld consoles (FFI-VI), and those developed with 3D engines should have their ports/remakes on home consoles. The Vita is perfect for the entire collection however.

P.S. Brave Fencer Musashi HD/Tru3D anyone? I'll leave that for someone else to discuss in another thread.

I agree with Black_Rose about graphics. I could care less if the graphics looked like real life action or if they looked like pixelated mush. But making it easier to play the original FF's again would be great. They've already ported FF7-9 to the PS3 in its original condition (i have all 3 of them) and would deeply enjoy it if they did that for 1-6. As for 10, 10-2, and 12? I have 10, a sequel to it wasn't appealing at all, and 12 ... well I'll withhold my comments for it ... but for those who are interested in those, just go buy them from Gamestop or get them from eBay, it's simple as that.

Edit: I would actually spend every penny in my bank account for a FF7 remake, but I have the original discs and have it on my PS3, so it's not a "do it or else" situation for me

Even if they were the 3DS is not a HD console.
