So bringing a Primal in, by a single player, would likely result in the same thing and as the storyline shows, we cant be tempered.

How the XIV team planned to give FC control over Primals in open world content I haven't the slightest idea. I'm kind of assuming it would be more like a shadow/mirror of the original Primal, instead of the Primal itself. That way we could use it's powers, but it wouldn't be the actual Primal, or have its actual mind to contest to. Just a weapon.

I personally really liked the idea that Yoshida had, because it had the same effect in mind that single player FF games had with the Summon beings. You call it, it does it's thing, then it's gone. I understand many SMN's feel jipped by the egi's, instead of a mini size Ifrit or Titan walking around behind them as they did in XI, but I have to honestly agree, it cheapens the concept of what these beings are to just have them walking around on a leash like that. The egi's are just a fragment of their powers, a mere fraction of their actual selves.
