    Depends on what the party was set up for. If it was a stated learning party then yeah, learn by doing things and making mistakes. If it's stated as a win/farm party though you don't get to waste my time by figuring it out for yourself. I'm going to say something if I see someone consistently making mistakes. How nice that comes off can vary from day to day but I try to be understanding where possible.

    I don't ever use party finder, so I never have this whole issue of "how the party was set up." I'm pretty sure, though, anyone with a brain between their ears wouldn't go into a party explicitly stating what it's for. This doesn't sound like this was the case. If someone consistently makes mistakes, I'll ask them if they know how the fight goes or if there's an area they are unsure about. I've found I've gotten a better reaction by letting them give their perspective than just assuming I know exactly what's wrong and giving them my two cents.
