    Perhaps we will see a summoner class come out of Ishgard. I want my Pug(Monk) to be able to summon a dragon ^^

    Uhhh... unfortunately I will have to say good luck with that...

    Summoning Wyverns will definitely be locked to DRG lol...

    That only ever happened in FFXI.

    In all the other games they were mounts for dragoons and/or enemies (except FFV where it was a mount for Buttz and Wind Drakes were almost extinct).

    Regardless, Wyverns/Wind Drakes have been a separate creature from Dragons in every game except XI, XII, and Tactics A2, where Dragons are a creature type and Wyverns are a specific kind of dragon.

    So theoretically you can still summon a dragon without having to summon a wyvern.
