Ok reading most of this long thread and multiple pages....people have made more than a few valid points, Personally and this is just my personal opinion....I'll agree that people should read up on fights if they want to do end game content, it makes it easier and quicker for those that don't have a lot of game play time, and it would be a common courtesy....i know some fights takes quite a bit of explaining.

But then again... players that are new and go in blind are paying the sub price each month and no one else...they should enjoy and play the game how they want...if they want to go in blind and have people explain the fight to them then that's their right, but they should be prepared to have veteran players criticize their lack of preparedness...just my 0.02 gil.

If people are looking to get into endgame in a pretty serious way, they will need to prepare themselves a little so I do agree to an extent. People who expect this in DF groups are out of their trees, though. There's the Party Finder tool for those who want everything their way.

I think the best rule of thumb is to not expect anything from DF groups (for people on both sides of the fence). But just because I am in your DF group, you are not entitled to group with me, I can cancel that agreement at any time. It just didn't work out... No hard feelings ok?

The verbal abuse is annoying and unproductive though I admit. I would like to have everyone at least put some effort ahead of time. But in DF I don't necessarily expect they will. That's ok for most content but if it's content that need heavy explanation it'll depend on my mood whether or not I'll stay with the group (I typically will try once and see if there's potential).

OK let's go through those games and see the issues shall we? WoW....developed and introduced by Blizzard who until entering the mmo world developed mainly first person shooters...and yup they all joined the mmo world. GW2....never played it and haven't felt the urge to either, as that is not a "proper" mmo in the sense of the genre, LoL...well lol ...seriously? an mmo? swtor...once again it's a "star wars fan game"...not a fantasy mmo, a science fiction mmo, and yes you DO get a different type of person playing fantasy and scifi.

Please do not blame your bad manners onto other folks. Your manners are your responsibility, and if you have none, don't expect to get very far. Do you know why console players weren't particularly welcomed with open arms? Nothing to do with manners at all...they moved slower, didn't communicate and with this game and it's ridiculous server lag, they would normally be the ones to cause wipes for not getting out of stuff quickly enough. It's not so bad now...but at the beginning it was noticable.

I'm assuming English isn't your first language? ...nevertheless I did manage to make sense of your post

What the hell did the players making the first video do! How did they know the fight?

The fun of raiding has always been going into the unknown and feeling your way through these fights. It makes the experience so much better.

If you want to research the fight and take the fun out fine, more power to you. You will get weeks upon weeks to kill the same boss over and over. But everyone only gets one first time fighting a boss, so don't ruin it for others.

These threads make my self-esteem in playing the game my way mount to champagne-uncorking glee. Never did HM or EX primals, never did Coils, never did CT. Yet I am not a liability in dungeons. Last week one guy in Brayflox HM needed to clear it in less than 15 minutes (because it was his daily Expert Run and game was about to reset) and we did it in 12. I'd have expected some cheering, but that's nowadays players for you. :P

No, but they more than likely went in as a static or a learning party.
using communication software to figure out the fight.
First timers and going in blind to complicated raid content are two very different things.

Like a lot of people making comments if defense of
    "learning through the duty finder",
I don't think you understand the difference between Sastasha and Coil.

Why are they asking at the beginning of the fight "Is there anything I should know?"
In reality your not using the Duty Finder to learn, you're using it to be carried through the content that others have already painstakingly took the time to do.

    That is lazy.
Start your own learning party in PF,
Or just watch a 3 minute video and stop being a liability.

OK been doing Garuda EX all day and I keep getting people who do not know the fight. It does anger me after three wipes, I dont mind wiping once or twice but afterwards it gets annoying, either learn from your mistakes the first two times you wipe or listen to what everyone is telling you in chat. When half the party doesnt know what is going on it is hard not to want them to have seen the fight beforehand.

I always looked up dungeons and beforehand. Other people played before me, I may as well take advantage of their experience.
Also, standing around not knowing what to do when everyone else does has never been a fun experience in my book.

But I would never chastise someone who didn't.
