I join many times without looking anything up..but I am a DPS and no one usually asks.
Even though that's half true about being carried, but it still proves my point. It doesn't hurt to explain fights because just that gives mmo's gaming better recognition of having a good community. You'll never know whose the new player because watching a video doesn't give the actual experience. Experienced players will still have to explain and tell the new player what methods they use in the fight. The only players who think new players are wasting others time are the self-righteous childish players always wanting 0 wipe runs .it's only the future for lazy people who don't want to actually put in the time to learn fights and just want to get carried by 7 others who did. If you're going to waste the time of 7 other people by being self-righteous and childish (people talking about not wanting to be 'spoiled'? Really?) then make friends who will learn the fights with you. Just because it's in DF doesn't mean you can only use DF.
I think a lot of people are missing the point that has been stated over and over. T4 and T5 are not the types of raids you can go in blind and have any success, even with echo buff.
I would love to farm T5 with fc/ls mates. But I don't know anyone who still wants to farm. So I only farm those two in pf. I already know that I don't have patience to even attempt those two in df because even pf T5 gets ugly with ppl who have cleared before.
I still need two pieces of gear from T2. So when it's late at night and no action in pf, I will df T2. But I go in with very low expectations.
I am sorry I don't have the patience to do T4 and T5 in df. I already banged my head against the wall for hours and hours learning them. I have to be in the mood or be seriously bored to want to attempt them in df. I will help ls mates that still need clears or are new. But df - no thanks. And I'm sorry if this comes across bad. But there is no accountability in df from either side of this argument.
You're right and it's only an optional choice if by chance a experience player wants to do df. However if an experience player is there to criticize the new player in any negative form over a wipe or gear wise. That will be very bad on their behalf because they know df will sometime have fresh players.I am sorry I don't have the patience to do T4 and T5 in df. I already banged my head against the wall for hours and hours learning them. I have to be in the mood or be seriously bored to want to attempt them in df. I will help ls mates that still need clears or are new. But df - no thanks. And I'm sorry if this comes across bad. But there is no accountability in df from either side of this argument.

u need to sit down and take a real long hard look at the idiocy you posted, if you really wanna talk about bad manners all you gotta do is look in the mirror, your trying to single out a very smal playerbase without any proof i might add. pc outnumbers console by 4 to 1 its not just coming from one poticular group so dont try to cheery pick, so here ima give u alot proof to back up my statement.
wow is pc, guild wars 2 is pc, league of legends pc, swtor is pc, i can name tons that are pc and have horrible communities where console players havent touched, hmm man the proof is startin to add up. this has got to be the only game so far that has pc/console together so tell me out of all the mmos. which player base has contributed the most to toxic enviorments hmm? do your homework before you post dumb thoughts.
another thing im going to add, pc ppl helped create alot of tumoil for console players always blaming them excluding them from dungeons and or raids but i will add i do not see that so much anymore, but it makes you wonder maybe you pc players helped make alot of angry console players with bad manners, sry had to put a lil rant in there i jus get real bad reactions when i run into idiots.

If you are taking your character serious enough to want to do endgame events then do like everything else in life and research and learn, rather than going in blind and asking everyone else to sit there and explain everything to you, why should they have to do that? is your time more important than everyone elses?
like someone said in another thread... When you are shooting for world firsts etc then yes you go in with a static group of people and you all do it over and over together until you figure it out, other than that it's completely different. If the information is out there to help you be a more productive member to the collective group of people that you are playing with then why not take advantage of it and be an asset instead of a hinderance?
If you want to do big boy content then be a big boy and step up and research to at least have a freaking CLUE! or you can just run around and explore, craft, quest, and piddle around and have your fun that way.
I did plenty of fights not knowing a thing and completed them as a healer, main healer on that note. From coil before echo and primals hm/ex no problem.honestly... if you go into a fight without AT LEAST looking it up or knowing whats going on you are wasting ya time man, people will leave people will bitch people cry all kinds of dumb shit. save yourself the headache and just look it up shit only takes a few mins. i know it sucks but thats just they way MMO's are now days brotha. gotta adapt to the times.
I never watch videos, I just ask if there's anything I need to know. As a healer, I usually try not to stand in anything and well, be on top of my game. Videos shouldn't be a requirement. I think people take the game too seriously at that point.
