I've completed all of the main series ones and my current order starting from best to worst is:

    FF10 > FF8 > FF13 > FF11 > FF12 > FF9 > FF7 > FF14:ARR > FF5 > FF6 > FF2 > FF1 > FF4 > FF3

FF10 is on top because of the music, artwork, emotional story. All of which combine to create a truly amazing memorable experience.

    So in logo form that's:

VII, VIII and X are my favorites. All have fantastic stories and atmospheres. Actually, X's atmosphere isn't great, but still. Great story and game play.

It's funny, I actually kinda hated VIII until about a month ago when I replayed it and suddenly fell in love with it. :|

My favorite Final Fantasy game will be Final Fantasy Tactics Advance I was always fond of the uniqueness that jobs brought visually and aesthetically and it was a customizable aspect of the game which was great and FFTA brought that and added a little more visual appeal with the races. Also enjoyed a lot of the things you can do in the game like the quests and side stories were pretty enjoyable too.

I started my first Final Fantasy with the first Final Fantasy released in the US. Thanks to that I realized I enjoyed jrpgs and ever since then I've tried my best to play every FF title I could get my hands on since I knew I'd enjoy them without a doubt which is why I avoided FFXIII's sequels when I saw it lose a lot of what appealed to me. I gave FFXIII a chance just like I gave FFXIV 1.0 a chance and both disappointed me at the start yet Yoshi-P saved FFXIV with ARR while on the other hand FFXIII's sequels did not.

I'm still hoping that Final Fantasy Type-0 gets localized and I'm optimistically looking forward to FFXV since it's bringing a lot of the old appeal Final Fantasy titles used to have back into the main title franchise.

My favs would be FF7, FFTactics, FF8, FF10
FF7 because it was the first game that made me cry then rage at the same time becuase i put all that time and effort into makin aerith a beast and she goes and dies /cry. it had an epic story a vilian that was a true beast and it was the first steppin stone in the ff franchise to usher in the new graphic age
FF Tactics because it was the first FF game i played. It had a great story and had my favorite classes of all time The Dancer and Dragoon.
FF8 because it had a awesome story great graphics a pompous villian that you loved to hate (cough cough siefer) and was the first ff game that not only left me satisfied but questioning did he really survive (Squall's dead theory if your wondering)
FF10 becuase like seven had me cryin like an 8 year schoolgirl, had an epic story, relatable and likeable Character and another pompous vilian you love to hate (cough cough Seymour)
i lookin foward to adding 15 to my favorites jus hoping it live up to it.

I loved Final Fantasy 7 and Final Fantasy 11!

Final Fantasy 7 was the game that made me fall in love with the FF games. I enjoyed the storyline and I felt a connection with the characters. I loved the materia system in that game.

Final Fantasy 11 got me into MMORPGs. The teamwork and organization that was required for that game was excellent. Skillchains... Magic Bursts!! lol Dynamis... Sky / Sea ... The dunes... Friendships that will last a lifetime. It was a life changing experience.

All the people who love FF7 the most, just curious roughly what age were you when you fell in love with it? I think I was too young to appreciate it on it's release so I never really thought highly of it.

Final Fantasy VI. Has the best moments, awesome characters that you actually care about. Nice Steampunk-like world, fantastic music. It really was of all the games, a masterpiece of an RPG. And yes, all those secrets! ATMA weapon, Shadow and Realm, Gogo, Mog, Umaro ect. And of course the baddies of baddies, Kefka who was just insane and actually destroyed the world before you take him down.

And the artwork! Yoshitaka Amano's finest work!

    FFVIII - I cried, I cried I cried I cried
Laguna and Julia, Squall (son of Laguna) and Rinoa (daughter of Julia) all bundled up in that one scene. So much feels. The ENTIRE theme of VIII is Love and this scene is the epitome. And in that one scene it explains why Squall is the way he is, and how far he developed. One of the most realistic well developed FF characters, no video game character, ever done. There are people like Squall who had difficulty interacting with others due to a hard upbringing, but have opened up thanks to the efforts of others. So touching

It's even more emotional if you believe the Rinoa = Ulti theory (I don't care what SE said there are way too many coincidences in VIII and Dissidia and SE are notorious for lying through their teeth)

But "Go sit down" and "I'm not your mom" no Squall that is a no no

And the Battle of the Gardens and the Assassination attempt, my goodness!

    FFIX - I can't, I just can't... The feels!
Zidane spent the entire game helping others, sticking by them and protecting them! And at this pivotal moment, they were all there for him even when he pushed them away! It showed just how close knit they all became!
AMAZING cast! AMAZING development! A true FF experience and adventure!
Vivi and Garnet are one of the two most strongest characters ever.

Those 2 take #1 spot for me. The emotional connection I felt with the characters were off the charts

    FF4 (2 US).

I started with #1 on NES when I was a kid... it wasn't until #4 that the story started becoming more important/impressive. It was mind-blowing at the time.
