Favorite final fantasy game and why?

First game I ever played in my life was Final Fantasy 7. I haven\\'t have a chance to play 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 9. I will when I get chance to. I love how there are many same titles but different numbers because they have different story and system of their own. That what I loved that game about.

If you asked me what is most favorite final fantasy, I\\'d say Final Fantasy 12 International Zodiac Job System. They made much better version rather than original (in my opinion). Why 12 IZJS? Another main reason why I played final fantasy is job system. Limited or unlimited job system is what make final fantasy all about. Unlike original 12 Which have no job at all and often left you wondering should every characters use same things? My answer is it should not at all. That is not true final fantasy after all. (Again, in my opinion.)

Now what about 13 and 13-2? They are okay. I'm just surprised that they keep making 13 series but I assume that is a case because of FF 15 development. 13 story was alright, not that bad but what is issue that make me think it is okay game unlike best ff games? No open world until late game, no job system and odd style switching in battles. Same goes for 13-2 but it had kinda open world little later at beginning.

Now 13-3 lightning returns is what I most looking forward because of open world and job system. So yeah I'm curious how job system will work out for single character. No spoils please, I love surprises.

I'd say I enjoyed 10 the most, because I really liked the characters, music, and story. 13 comes second for me.

FF6 was, in my opinion the apex of game design, music, and charm. It had arguably the most colorful (and largest) cast of playable characters in any FF that wasn't tactics, and had arguably the best villain in any game, ever. (can't get into why w/o spoilers).

Very close match between 6 and 7.

Six because it had the best story ever and really good characters.

Seven because it was the first RPG that I played through to the end. I did close to everything in that game except Ruby Weapon, and that was because I raised my own gold chocobo. I got all the enemy skills, got all the limit breaks, W-summon, mimic materia, Knights of the Round. Hmm, now that I think about it, I didn't get the joke weapons for everyone, but that's because I didn't like having to play the minigame in Gold Saucer.

Anyway, once I played through 7 to the end, I went back to 6 with a new understanding of how to play RPG's and realized that 6 was the better game, but since 7 was my first, it holds the spot as my favorite

Can I say Bravely Default? Bravely Default. It's amazing. It has probably sucked me in more then any FF game I have played tbh. But it could also be that I just haven't played a solid rpg in some time.

FF IX...not just my favorite FF, but my favorite game ever. No other game keeps me coming back, and yet still excites me like a brand new game, entertains me like a classic novel, makes me laugh like a brilliant comedy or moves me like a touching love story.

Crisis Core is also great.

Yeah I totally should get that game when I have a chance. Heard lot of praise on that 6th. I played dissidia FF. I can tell I like 6th villain (clown dude I think? Kafia right?)

Definitely grab it when you can. It's nothing short of excellent. I was not a huge fan of the 13 series so it was an easy choice for me.
