I doubt they would reuse stuff from XI anymore. Yoshi didn't like the fact that this game looked just like XI and thought that was a mistake.

And what is the point of making your own airship if it doesn't move? With the customizable aspect and Yoshi's comments, it's more likely there will be flying mounts, but it will be limited to certain zones. Furthermore when I read his comments it seemed likely that he meant you would need flying mounts to defeat a flying foe, which would probably be Bahamut.

Either way, it's conjecture on my side and on your side. But I'm excited to see how it truly plays out. Either way, it will be more of a game I love.
