What's with the new players today?

When I go in as a dps in LLDR.. I noticed this too. A level 41 marauder in sastasha, another time a gladiator in haukke manor that never uses flash... or shield lob or stuns.. they seem to think they're dps...

Tried to give them some friendly advice but I get flat out ignored. ~_~

Idk it's times like that I think yelling and getting mad might get the point across sometimes because some people don't think it's that serious of a problem when you're trying to let them know gently without trying to sound like,'hey tank, do your job right!!'

Haha, yeah...this is how it goes sometimes, especially lately. At first I'm very, very polite. If I'm ignored, then I continue the polite approach for awhile. After that I become increasingly irritated lol I'd at least like an acknowledgement, even if it's a "STFU, I'll play my way!"...that way I know if they want to be or can be helped.

Or have a hard time communicating with the group. Had a "tank" last night in Totorak that took about 10min to respond to any and all questions/advice we were saying in party chat, when I finally asked if they could type something or anything, they said "Yes, sorry", which took them about 2min to type out somehow...I then proceeded to ask them if they had any aggro gaining abilities (They were not tanking at all up to that point) which was answered roughly 2-3min later with "What are aggro gaining abilities"...aside from seemingly not knowing that they were a tank at all, their communication was poor at best. Regardless I left 5 seconds later, but I tried for the better part of 10min to get through to this guy.
