I don't see how we can have a 'hardcore' game without NM's.
That's the developer for DQX. He's not involved in FFXIV except for maybe sharing the same building with the staff. Yoshida has mentioned in several interviews before that FFXIV was designed to be casual.This is somewhat false. Even the developers are calling FFXIV for the 'hardcore'
