Could you explain why you feel that's a negative? Curiosity on my part.
@OP: Definitely think posting when your ideal raid times would help *nod*
Because people tend to keep the /sh and /say channels spammed with RP chat. It seems like they're really desperate for attention, but hey, it's their choice. It's not as common on Gilgamesh, but it's super annoying to see your chat box spammed with people RPing. Its enough to make me want to turn off my /say and /sh channels completely.
Just my opinion, however. I don't expect everyone else to share my views.

Was curious because I started on Balmung just because all of my friends were there and they were from 1.0. I only found out about RP when I found out a friend did it and I started to join in. I don't generally see people use /sh for anything but /sh in Mordonuts back in the day for help with parties before PF. And as for /say I never used it for anything so I thought that's why (I thought) it became an RP thing to use. I've never seen anyone use it for anything else. It's always been /t or /p for things.Because people tend to keep the /sh and /say channels spammed with RP chat. It seems like they're really desperate for attention, but hey, it's their choice. I mean I can understand it if /sh is being used over and over but I turned that off not because of RP but because I got tired of people shouting about how they can meld this or p.lvl x craft or join this FC!

For the 50th ****ing time in the zone. I always crack up laughing when I see their IC Guild advertisement.
But IMO, this is no different from Non-RP Advertisements. It's just an IC twist. Most of the RP'ers keep in /s channels because that's local - and I earnestly don't see a lot of people talking in /s otherwise. Usually, people just talk in /sh regardless of proximity.
