Because people tend to keep the /sh and /say channels spammed with RP chat. It seems like they're really desperate for attention, but hey, it's their choice. It's not as common on Gilgamesh, but it's super annoying to see your chat box spammed with people RPing. Its enough to make me want to turn off my /say and /sh channels completely.

Just my opinion, however. I don't expect everyone else to share my views.

Was curious because I started on Balmung just because all of my friends were there and they were from 1.0. I only found out about RP when I found out a friend did it and I started to join in. I don't generally see people use /sh for anything but /sh in Mordonuts back in the day for help with parties before PF. And as for /say I never used it for anything so I thought that's why (I thought) it became an RP thing to use. I've never seen anyone use it for anything else. It's always been /t or /p for things.

I mean I can understand it if /sh is being used over and over but I turned that off not because of RP but because I got tired of people shouting about how they can meld this or p.lvl x craft or join this FC!

For the 50th ****ing time in the zone. I always crack up laughing when I see their IC Guild advertisement.

But IMO, this is no different from Non-RP Advertisements. It's just an IC twist. Most of the RP'ers keep in /s channels because that's local - and I earnestly don't see a lot of people talking in /s otherwise. Usually, people just talk in /sh regardless of proximity.

I've played on Leviathan and Diabolos recently and both are pretty active. Biggest difference has been Leviathan had more activity late into the PST evening than Diabolos. Neither are legacy though.

When you transfer it's going to feel a lot more empty at first no matter where you go since you have to re-establish yourself in the community.

Balmung is pretty much all 3 points. Additionally it offers everything people may want (not sure about PvP though) Endgame, Social environment basically any kind of FC you could ask for, and roleplaying. We even have what plants crave, electrolytes.

Counting characters that are in a FC
So unless some server have unusual large amount of people not in FC... should be somewhat accurate.

Notice the Legacy marks by Legacy servers and the Data Centers are marked with region flag.

Actually, I think exodus should have been in the place of Cactuar. Regardless, I got it from information SE released a while ago on their main page. I'm going off of memory, but per your website it seems pretty accurate.

I've been in Balmung for 2 weeks.
Lot's a friendly people, people RP in Ul'dah and all. I felt like people kept to themselves.
They're respectful because 2 people invited me to a FC with cute personal text, I declined but I get more ninja invite's than Leviathan. A lot more.
More people in towns too. I just didn't feel like it was right for me and Leviathan feels more at home. But it's bustling with RPer's and people
and I occasionally AFK in Ul'dah just to watch them RP. The Market isn't bad to me, I felt like I made more money there too. O:

My only dislike was I've seen some trolls..not a lot of them openly talking in Levi and I've seen RPers do light e-rp in public. Otherwise
    I liked it.

In my experience Diabolos has been pretty active since launch. Way more active early in the afternoon or later in the evening though which works out for me, anyway.

    Not Mateus.

If you are annoyed with too much RP across the open comms, you will adore Mateus. You can go for hours on Mateus without one... single... shout. If you're not in a Company and hooked into Company chat, you might come to believe you're in a single-player environment.

I *just* moved my primary alt off Mateus, over to Goblin, to have a look around.
