SE does not care that RMT ruin their game?

Right.. because releasing content slower is really going to keep people wanting to play this game. Are you planning to quit the game over RMT tells?

Slow content killed this game once already and RMT tells certainly hasn't. I'll pass on the reallocate resources from content that You don't care about idea. I can't help but be confused about the fact that you would rather they combat RMT over faster content releases of any sort, just because hairstyles and pvp don't float your boat doesn't mean other players don't enjoy it. Unless you think that programmers do less work than artists.. in which case you're just being naive.

The only change related to RMT that I would like to see is a right click > report spam/rmt option. SE can let the players do a lot of the work for them with that since the majority of players probably aren't likely to go through the current and inconvenient reporting method. I'm not sure why they don't have this option yet, it seems like it would be fairly simple to add, but maybe it's more complicated and they just haven't added it yet due to priorities.

Just another quality of life issue. But higher on my list (& other's I'm sure) than changing how game menu operations work. My point is that everyone (prolly, but most likely) is impacted by the RMT issue. Not everyone is participating in PVP, or changing their character's face/hair. Simple numbers game.

I have a character on Aegis that I had back when the NA servers were unavailable at launch. Now I rarely go over to it anymore but for grins I decided to login and leave myself on all day afk to see. Usually if I stand in town or anywhere for that matter too long the tells start coming. Not a single tell!!! Not so much as anything from anyone. Is something different on NA servers vs JP Servers with the community? Do we have players buying so much gil it's profitable to only spam the NA servers? I can't really answer that but not getting any tells in a day does surprise me very much.

These "gill sellers" probably by dozens or more of accounts when the game is in sale.

Basing it off one server is hardly credible but I don't have all the facts either. I know it's pretty bad on Diabolos and I've heard it is on others as well. This morning I started seeing them spamming in Gridania with /shouts again.

I hear you, everyone is impacted by it, but I don't think people are quitting because of it. On the other hand, I have more friends than I can count on both hands that have left this game due to lack of content, over half of them due to lack of PVP content. The way I see it is that the first priority should be keeping players in the game since that's the only way this type of game will survive. Like you said it's a simple numbers game and more subs = more money = more content/quality of life changes.

You do have a point. I can't say I know anyone who quit because of RMT. But it's very telling how widespread the problem is, most directly in FC chat when a spam bot makes it's rounds.
